Hi SCG,

I am curious: How would you impress your potential employer, investor or business partner, if there would be a sign on their office door or banner on their website shouting out loud in bold letters:

“No CVs Allowed Here!”

I honestly believe that each of us posses unique talents. No human being’s life can be captured and not at all evaluated through standardized format of 2-pages long pdf. file with bullet points. Yeah I mean, CV!

Therefore, today I have decided to “ship” an unusual CV. “Live CV” with my story embedded in it. A CV, which will tell you how am I different, what made me who I am now. I think this kind of a CV can be also an excellent time saver, while it can easily replace 1st round of interview;-) What do you think? 😉

Oh boy, attending meetings was “eating me” during my consulting career a lot. Gosh, how many sheets of paper have been destroyed with child-like drawings of various shapes , which were a result of my boredom and internal fight with a loud voice, screaming inside my head:

“Why the heck, are we all losing our time, here?!”

Hello SCG,

today I want to share with YOU one personal story, which I have kept for myself for 5 and half years. Memories from that time are frequently coming back to me these days and only after such a long time, I was able to understand how precious those moments were.

It was November 2004, when I have arrived to Dubai with suitcase full of books and heart full of hope. I was still a student in my last year of University, when I have got an opportunity to get 3 months internship in Dubai. I have been provided an accommodation in very nice small apartment located in a new residential area of Dubai. I was amazed by the facilities of the neighborhood: pool, basketball court (yay!!), gym, party room, barbecue spots and many other cool things. BUT I did not know a soul there, till…
