[Video] Bodyguard for Your Dreams

I have been thinking about recording this video for quite some time. Yesterday, I came across inspirational scene from one of my all times favorite movies Pursuit of Happiness. And today I just felt “right” to shoot following video post.

We all have heard tons about how one should live his/her dream, follow the heart and so on…and yet it is still so though.

Let me share with you my dream come true story with you.

And who knows, it might give you a little push to get closer to your dream. Just spare 5 minutes of your time and watch this.

I am already excited to hear your stories.

Just drop it into comments or shoot me an email if you feel I could help YOU.

cheers,

i.

P.S.: I have little attention check question for you, today:

Can you tell which is next book on my reading list? ;-)

Ivana that was wonderful. Really inspirational. Yes dream killers are on the prowl and its we who have to save our dreams and stand for them like we do for our kids.

    Thanks Ivana

  2. Tim Brownson says:

You go girl, you CAN do it.

In fact you ARE doing it.

    • Ivana Sendecka says:

      WOW! Tim! ;-)
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!;-)
      Grateful!;-)
As, I have said, I cannot imagine to have lead my life any other way, except serving my best.
      You know the feeling;-)

  3. Alasdair says:

Sharing your dreams with someone is an extraordinarily intimate thing to do… I think it’s the ultimate in intimacy.

From “The Fairy Tale of New York”:

Her: I could have been someone
    Him: Well so could anyone
Her: You took my dreams from me
Her: When I first found you

Him: I kept them with me babe
Him: I put them with my own
Him: Can´t make it all alone
Him: I´ve built my dreams around you

Isn’t that romantic? He put her dreams around his, and built his dreams around her…

    • Ivana Sendecka says:

I found it too risky to build your dreams around someone or something. Simply surrendering to the flow of events and following one heart is working better for me.
Let me quote Khalil Gibran and his thoughts @marriage:
“Sing and dance together and be joyous,
but let each one of you be alone.
Even as strings of a lute are alone
though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts but not into each other’s keeping.”

      ;-)
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts with us,
      my friend.
      HUG;-)

  4. Not that I don’t agree with most of what has been said on the video, but… You gave an example where clearly a dream has to be protected. But IMO there are situations in life when protecting a dream can lead to a very bad decisions/experiences and unhappiness.

This example is little out there, but it makes the point. “Hviezdna rota” (the “star collection” of the worst singers) in Superstar competition… their dream is to sing, but they will never be able to sing. Protection of their dreams (by themselves, by the relatives, friends, etc.) made them feel stupid in front of the whole country. Everybody laughed at them and I don’t think they would say it was worth it.

How is protecting good in this case?

    • Ivana Sendecka says:

I always say: “there are no good or bad decisions, only different results and consequences.”

Result of silly singer without any self-esteem is laughter of audience and their own disappointment. They can either learn from it and move on and accept it as a lesson from which they have learned that they are not really meant to be singers or re-evaluate their approach, time spend on practicing and work even harder if they truly believe in it what makes them happy and alive.

And another point i want to say is: “there will be always someone who will laugh at what you do. you cannot please everybody. there will be well-wishers and fans as well as critics and sarcastic closed minded people, that is part of a game. no matter what you do, you gotta accept it.”

  5. Tina says:

I agree with you … I am the only one who can protect my dreams … this is the basis … it is clear that it still needed a couple of things, but this basis there must be…i must confess- It’s not simple;-)But I believe that does work, so we must try our best. I wish all the people to be so enthusiastic as you are and there will be nobody who could dissuade them from following his own life Everest

    • Ivana Sendecka says:

      Tinka,
thank your for your comment and words from heart.
The most important thing is that YOU believe in whatever you do.
I cannot wait to hear stories about climbing your own Everest.
      HUGS;-)

  6. Zulkifl says:

    I loved the message :)
I am passionate to follow my dreams and I think up to me to make them realize by first believing in myself !!!

    • Ivana Sendecka says:

      Salam Zulfi!
welcome to my blog commentators!;-) so grateful for watching;-)
      Keep your spirits high!
I cannot wait to hear YOUR dream come true!;-)
      cheers,
      i.

  8. Angelo Verona says:
